Re: Introducing the Threads Insider Membership

You can see all of your benefits as a Threads Insider on the Insider homepage: ThreadsMagazine.com/insider.

Your Insider membership includes the last six digital versions of the magazine. When a new issue is added, the oldest will be removed.

You also have access to Insider-only articles and videos, as well as, discounts and giveaways.

We are definitely adding to the benefits so this is just the beginning.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Re: Introducing the Threads Insider Membership

Anyone that is a print subscriber of the magazine qualifies for the discount and $12.95 pricing.

Re: Copy Your Garments with Precision

@JoFray: I've forwarded your comment over to our customer service department. They should be able to help with any issues you are having with your account. Once you are logged in, and see the "You Are IN" message in the upper right corner, you should be able to view all Insider-only content.

Re: Threads Insider - Coming Soon!

The past six digital issues will be available. When a new issue is added, the oldest will be removed. You can now visit our Threads Insider page to see previews of the great content you will have access to as an insider. Don't worry, we are continuing to publish our print magazine as well, and we will still produce the free content you expect here on the website.

Re: Learn the Four Fastest Flat-Fell Seams

Most of the content that was up previously is still free. We added new content that is marked with the "in" logo and those are for-pay. You can still enjoy the same posts that we put up each week for free. If you would only like to see that content bookmark our Threads Daily blog and you will only see the new free content available daily.

Re: How to Attach Hooks, Eyes & Snaps

Our videos do usually work on the iPad, but there was a technical error with this series. This problem has been resolved, and they should work now. Thanks for your patience!

Re: Threads Insider - Coming Soon!

The cost for Threads Insider access is $32.95 per year. Magazine subscribers will receive a $20 discount, so their price will be $12.95. The benefits offered at launch are just the beginning. We will continue to add exclusive content just for insiders, and you will also get insider-only discounts and offers.

Re: Threads Insider - Coming Soon!

There will be a cost for the Threads Insider membership, but the free portion of the website will also still continue to exist (with an all new look). Becoming an insider allows you full access to our video library as well as other benefits. Magazine subscribers will receive a discounted price.

Re: Facebook Giveaway: The Colette Sewing Handbook

So, far we have been doing Facebook giveaways of books and DVDs that we have also offered here on Threads. Some people do enjoy the community over on Facebook, and we'd like to be part of that conversation as well. It is completely up to you how you would like to be part of the Threads community, but this book giveaway was a second chance to win. We gave away a copy of The Colette Sewing Handbook right here last week. We have no plans to stop giving away these great sewing products right here on our website, so don't worry about missing out.

Re: Last day to enter the Threads Ultimate Sewing Challenge

@nancynancy: I've been trying to replicate your problem, but everything seems to be working for me. You can try creating a new entry and making sure all of the fields on the page have something in them. It could be an issue with how the text was copied into the form. Feel free to call customer service if you continue to have technical issues, and they may be able to answer your specific questions. You can contact customer service at 800-477-8727 between 9-5 EST.

Re: Last day to enter the Threads Ultimate Sewing Challenge

Yes, you should be able to edit your entry after it is has been published. You should see an edit link in the box at the upper right of your text.

Re: Last day to enter the Threads Ultimate Sewing Challenge

@tzipi It could be that your images are now too small to be uploaded. All images should be between 400px-1,200px wide/high. You can contact customer service at 800-477-8727 between 9-5 EST if you continue to have technical problems.

Re: Last day to enter the Threads Ultimate Sewing Challenge

Your entry can be any special occasion garment. Just be sure to read the official rules to make sure your ensemble is eligible. There should be three or more pieces including an accessory. "Handmade" refers to a garment you have made yourself and is not purchased ready-made. Sewing machine and other tool use is definitely allowed in creating your entry.

Re: Last day to enter the Threads Ultimate Sewing Challenge

By published we mean that you have been paid for the work, and it has been featured in a media publication of some kind (i.e. magazine article). Your personal Facebook account would not be considered publication. Good luck!

Re: Threads Ultimate Sewing Challenge Sponsored by BERNINA - Official Rules

Unfortunately, to legally claim the prize, you must be a legal resident of the United States, who is at least 18 years old, or a legal resident of Canada (except Quebec).

Re: Threads Ultimate Sewing Challenge Sponsored by BERNINA - Official Rules

Re: Last day to enter the Threads Ultimate Sewing Challenge

There is no limit to how many ensembles you can enter. Also, check back on October 19th for our annual Halloween Costume Contest, if you are making one this year.

Re: Last day to enter the Threads Ultimate Sewing Challenge

You may use a sewing pattern or something of your own design. Please note which pattern you use in your entry. The more information we have about your ensemble, the better the judging will be in the end.

Re: Summer Sewing with Linen

The problem might be with the actual dimensions of your photo rather than in the file size. The photo needs to be between 400px and 1,200px in width and height in order to upload.

Re: Join the Threads Summer Sewing Challenge and WIN!

You can certainly post your project. When we refer to something as being unpublished we mean professionally published for payment. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Re: Summer Sewing Challenge Official Rules

Unfortunately, only "legal residents of the United States, who are at least 18 years old, and legal residents of Canada (except Quebec), who are over the age of majority in their province of residence" are eligible to participate in this contest.

Re: Tips on Sewing with Linen

Hi Sewista,

You can enter a garment you have already created and written about on your blog. You will still need to upload the photos of your garment to our contest gallery. Click the link to "Enter your project" at the top of the page and share your photos.

Thanks,

Vicky

Re: Mermaid Spectacular

I can't wait to see the finished costume. I really wish I could come to the parade this year. Take lots of photos!

nancyjf,
If you are having trouble opening links, you may be using a pop up blocker on your Internet browser. You will have to allow pop ups for threadsmagazine.com in order for the external links to open.

Re: Find Your Best Silhouette

In the caption for the blank grid there should be a click to enlarge link. I have also added a link within the body of the article to find the large version of the blank grid.

Re: Video: Embellishing with Paint Sticks

There is a play button at the bottom left corner of the player and the video should also begin if you click inside the player.

Re: Kelly's wedding gown

The dresses are beautiful. Great job! Thanks for sharing your work.
