My favorite designer is Carolina Herrera. She creates beautiful pieces in scrupmtous fabrics. The wearer looks like she has achieved her look effortlessly, and is completely comfortable with herself. Knowing that you look good, is a huge confidence lifter and Carolina Herrera's clothing provide this boost.

I just bought some jacquard wool-silk fabric for a dress that I am planning to make for my parent's 40th wedding anniversary celebration.

In future issues, I would like if the clothing made in the "Pattern Review" section of the magazine was shown on real people. It would help show how it actually fits. A 1-pager section on a different fabric in each issue (along with its historical or typical use, potential challenges when working with it, and a where to buy guide) would be useful as well.

I learned to sew from my mother and I remember practicing on her old Serger,the same machine she used when she was young to sew her own clothes and clothes for her sisters. My sisters never took any interest in sewing, however I once I realized that I could make new clothes for cheaper than store-bought clothes and that they would fit so much better, I was sold!
