I liked the birdseed dress too, but i can see why they didn't pick it after Nina tweeted that it was too similar to some of alexander mcqueen's work.

Make sure that any house you live in is located within 5 minutes of the nearest fabric store. hehe :)
posted: 12:08 am on January 5thWell, I don't know what my best tip is, but I do love having an organized craft room with all my stuff set up and ready to go - ironing board, cutting table, sewing table etc. Having everything in a work triangle saves me so much time. And when I am not finished with something, i can leave it out, close the door, and not be stressed about the mess :)

sounds like a fun addition to my coffee table :)

Thank you for your informative articles. I would really appreciate it if, however, an editor would read through them first though! Commas are often in the wrong place or not even necessary, making it harder to digest what you have to say.

I thought that Seth Aaron's was the best collection, so I was glad he won! I was floored at Emilio's collection - after he had some of my favorite designs all season, I found his collection to be really blah. I feel like a runway show like this should have a more avante garde appeal to it, so I was surprised that Emilio sent down such a conservative looking collection. As for that suit thing with the red gloves - is it just me, or does it look like she's getting ready to do the dishes??!

Since the top 10 or so designers all showed at Bryant Park (with the exception of Maya), you can actually see all their collections. Here's Jay's. (Just don't click on the others that are currently in the competition if you want to still be surprised next week!)

I agree with the judges decision on this one, but my personal favorite was Ben's outfit.

I'd like to buy a serger soon - this would be really helpful in getting started!

Question... isn't the first episode always an "express yourself" episode where the contestants get to go crazy grabbing fabric from a random location and put something together?? I could have sworn the crazy challenges happen after the first one.
posted: 12:48 pm on January 21stI am looking forward to this season though. Last season's was so ridiculously disappointing. I also like that they showed the contestants working on their muslins this time - I've never seen them shoot that before.
