I'm on my fourth serger and love them for sewing knits, loungewear and for finishing edges and seams. I'm now thinking about doing some more decorative things with it and the book looks like it would be very helpful!

The bias tape maker would be a fun and quick way to get some bias made! I knitted a purse one time using hand made double fold bias. I might consider making another if I had this! =)

I'm going with the zig zag foot as my guess. The ruffler/pleater would have additional adjustments such as pleats per stitch and even a no pleat option for areas along the length that need to be flat.
