How a coat fits depends a great deal of what is worn under the coat.Will it be worn over a suit or over heavy sweaters?It seems to me the wearer has only a sweatshirt on under the coat.Look at the coat again when the wearer has the right garments on.You will notice quiet a difference.Take a picture then and compare.You properly only have to do some minor alterations.good luck

When I saw this jacket I immediately recognized the pattern.The jacket made by bellpb1966 has some minor alterations to the pattern I have seen.The collar in the picture is bigger,also the pattern is double breasted.The buttonholes in the jacket shown are moved.The pattern is in the January issue of Burda-Fashion,pattern 114a.I subscribe to the magazine,as I find their pattern fitting better then most American patterns.

There is a very similar pattern in the January issue of Burda world of fashion magazine.Pattern 114a,I actually have this one earmarked for my self
