I may be a strange old woman but I see a lot of potential in this jacket. Whether it is McQueen typical or not (I don't know anything about McQueen) if you look at the images on the web-sites where you can download the pattern it is certainly versatile when you see what other people have made using this pattern. If you don't like it - don't download. I think it can be great fun not only to construct it but also figuring out how to add details like embroidery or how about have a go in a striped fabric inspired by the recent stripe article in Threads. Come on - this is a free pattern! Thank you Threads for pointing me in this direction.Posted: 02:32 am on July 18th 2012
Living in Europe the courses available for making garments are few and far between. I would love to have these DVDs so I can improve my sewing skills and move into more advanced techniques and also be a bettr help to my daughters who also sew but has less time to learn due to work. Thank you very much Threads for giving your readers this chance to win a great learning toolPosted: 02:19 am on July 18th 2012
I would love to win this as I am soon moving to a new house half the size of my current one and I will have to seriously reduce my sewing things. This DVD could allow me to take more of what I have with me!Posted: 02:10 pm on October 18th 2011
I have started using my mother's vintage patterns and need more advice than ever so this book would be a very practical addition to my collection of Threads magazines. Thank you for providing your readers with such great a chance to acquire more knowledge AND save money so we can spend a little more on fabric!Posted: 01:40 am on May 18th 2011
