Re: What other types of fiber-arts-related crafts do you do?
Yes, I do am a multi-doer.
posted: 10:11 pm on March 9thI am into crochet with a passion. I have made three girl's dresses with
fabric and a crocheted top - I love the way they look.
I took a class learning to make circle quilts by (yes, believe this) cutting
the circles out of the main fabric and replacing them with other circles
fit back in as well as strips cut out and replaced. This method has created
my "own" quilt which I have spent much time embellishing this last year. it is
3/4 of the way done.
My next project is using fat quarters to make dresses for little girls and combining crocheted pockets with these.
I am studying about design and think I would have done it if other things
had not come my way - life, family, etc.
I also have a purse I am making from an orchid sweater with felting. I designed it myself. It is almost done!
Re: What's your favorite sewing notion?
Right now, my favorite is my pin cushion.

It was handmade over 35 years ago by a good friend.
It is stuffed with something on the line of "beany" but has keeps the
pins sharp and easy to pull out. I also use it to capture bits of fiber
so I can think about how to use it in a project. Also, the internal
ingredients make it "stay" cling to the top of my thread workbox
or the arm of a chair.
