Just started my own small business, Nonie's Altered Edge, sewing alterations and modifications. I am presently on general medical leave since my second spinal surgery-I am unable to return to work as a critical RN as I am unable to lift 50 lbs, a requirement in order to return. I have been sewing for 50+ years-ever since 7th grade. I love to spin fibers, wool being my favorite, dyeing with natural dyes, knitting or crocheting with my hand-spun. I garden, had my own garden that had a medical, cuisine, and dye sections when I lived in Ohio. I still haven't figure out FL weather in order to have a viable garden. I enjoy sewing, reading, gardening, baking, spinning, dyeing, various needlework. I hope I get enough sewing in order to pay the necessities. I have enjoyed Threads ever since the first publication.
