68 year old married, mother of two, grandmother of 3 and great-grandmother to an adorable 3 year old "Dennis the Menace".
I had about a 20 year hiatus from sewing, which left me VERY rusty and am now partially disabled which doesn't help.
In 2000 & 2001 I had 4 surgeries to my cervical spine which left me with a spinal cord injury. I cannot get around without a walker and sometimes a wheel chair. Another side effect is that my left hand doesn't work properly. This makes it hard for me do all the prep work for sewing and since I can't just jump up to get things that I need, it is very time consuming.
I also have very severe degenerative arthritis which caused me to shrink 4 1/2" in my spine. This has caused problems with fitting....my stomach,abdomen & bum are much larger than they used to be, and I can't do anything to lose there, except for surgery, LOL! I have a BIG problem with fitting. I am persevering, though.
