I first learned to embroider at age 5 and learned to sew making doll clothes. My mother hated sewing but my grandmothers and one aunt were wonderful seamstresses and shared their knowledge. I took lessons at the Y and after that there was no stopping me. My true passion now is making completely accurate and authentic historic clothing. I've conquered from 1800- 1900 having made hoops, bustles and spencer jackets and now I'm learning F&I war period. I have 3 beautiful daughters I've sewn every special occasion dress for and look forward to continuing to do so. I recently discovered machine quilting, which I used to consider cheating, but wow is it fun!
