Re: Book Giveaway: "Creating a Successful Fashion Collection"
I would love to create a flattering, wearable collection for middle-age ladies. Thank you for the chance!

Oh, what a wonderful giveaway!
posted: 10:43 pm on April 16thI am returning sewist and struggle a bit with tailoring jackets and coats, also with lining....
Re: Magazine Giveaway: Sew Home
I would do a lot for my home! But... I am not sure I can do it all. Maybe this book could teach me?!

I must agree - I love doing hem-stitching by hand. Also - some applique and beading. And of course, sewing on the Hand-Made tags

I liked both designs - Uli's and Ryan's. His was a little better done, in my opinion. But we don't really see the design the way we'd like. And I agree, the materials they used....

Ivy should be gone a few weeks ago!
I don't know what happened to Althea. She was very good with her designs in her past season. Tries to hard????
Re: Project Runway Episode 13: "Finale, Part 1"
I did like Dmitriy's design. Was not excited to see Christopher's nor Melissa's. They are all very nice people, I agree.
posted: 7:45 pm on October 16thI like seeing Tim in casual environment. Would really love to know the brand of his glasses. They are fabulous!
Re: Project Runway Episode 7: "Oh My Lord and Taylor"
I agree, Dmirty should have the winning title. The dress was so polished and classy.
posted: 1:02 pm on September 16thThe winning Pale Vampire Dress didn't speak to me.
Re: Project Runway Episode 9: "It's All About Me"
Happy for Dmitriy!
posted: 12:59 pm on September 16thRe: BOOK GIVEAWAY: "The Art of Fashion Draping" by Connie Amaden-Crawford
I always wanted to be able to drape fine silk, which is hard to work with! Thank you for the opportunity.
posted: 9:33 pm on August 28thRe: Project Runway Season 10: "Candy Couture"
We also thought that Dmitriy will be in the better position.
posted: 8:38 pm on August 3rdBut still, remember previous seasons - Anya couldn't sew, Michael could only drape....but they were soooo praised! Glad Mondo finally made it.
Re: BOOK GIVEAWAY: A Field Guide to Fabric Design
Sometimes I have a specific project with a pattern/ fabric design in mind. But it is not easy to find it in the store. I think I would make lots of designs for my child clothes, maybe for myself too. And accessories!
posted: 8:26 pm on August 3rdRe: Project Runway All Stars: "Finale Part 2"
Hurray! Mondo won! I personally love the round pockets dress. Would love to make one for myself.
posted: 12:35 am on March 29thRe: Choose the Correct Pattern Size
I was horrified to learn that according to the chart I am size 18! Then I measured myself and the paper pattern - it was really huge for me.
posted: 2:09 pm on January 30thThere are some patterns that are true-to-the-size and some that you need to take upper bust measurements and adjust the bust line later.
Would anybody know the list of those pattern-makers?
Re: Project Runway All Stars: "Good Taste Tastes Good"
Hate seeing Michael win again!
posted: 6:33 pm on January 29thMondo, please, step up!
Kara should have been sent home! Period!
April is not quite mentally there, she is very young and insecure.
Re: Project Runway All Stars: "Patternmaking for Piggy"
Loved Rami design, not Michael's (really?!), will miss Jordana.... The challenge was quite silly, though.
posted: 6:02 pm on January 29thAnd why the call it All Star? I expected to see more of the best designers from last seasons.
Re: Project Runway 9: "Finale - Part 2"
My husband and I joined the Runway show somewhere in the middle. We were impressed with the Georgian girl - Irina. She was a true talented designer and she stayed true to herself throughout the season.
posted: 12:02 pm on November 2ndAnd every time there is something disappointing! Gretchen??? Are you kidding me?! And Mondo.... I think Viktor just repeated his mistakes this season.
I don't know what judges saw in Anya's work - it is just a spa collection. That's it. Would she be able to make something else? Who knows. Maybe she will use the money she won to go to school, to Tim's class...
Very sad.
I am not sure I want to watch any more of the shows.
Re: Project Runway 9: "Finale - Part 1"
Yes, Viktor should have the Victory! And I hope he will. He is talented and skillful.
posted: 2:10 pm on October 25thBut LT wants to have a popularity. So, we have to watch many different people on the show.
Re: DVD GIVEAWAY: Threads Magazine Archive, 1985-2011
Hello, Thread!
posted: 12:51 pm on October 25thI am a returning sew-er. Every time I go to library or at the store, I always check the magazines. Really love it. The only thing... I am a little timid to starts sewing again - in 20 years there are so much new supply/fabric/you-name-it on the market and in technology.
I slowly started building up my sewing room. Good thing - I have a toddler and can practice sewing for her first.
Your giveaway might give me so much needed confidence and knowledge.
Thank you.
