Re: How to Reduce Collar Bulk
Learned this in one of Louise's certification programs and it is the best technique. Would recommend her program to everyone.

Not only do I love my Baby Lock Evolution, I love the support that we have been given by our dealer. We have no less than 2-3 Baby Lock educators at our local dealer every year. We focus on education and techniques as we are not concerned with maintenance as my Baby Locks have never failed me.

Re: MAGAZINE GIVEAWAY: "Quick Stuff to Sew"
I am making small ITH stockings for gift cards and flatware on the dinner table. Making Christmas Gift pillows (see Baby-Lock serger project for Bow Tie Quilt square). Christmas fabrics with a big red bow tie. Embroidering "To You" in one block and "From Me" in the other. Quick and easy unique gift.

Will finish a boiled wool jacket with holly embroidery to go over a white blouse with collar and cuffs I am finishing of Boutis french embroidery. Even though I am in my 70's, I enjoy dressing for the holidays.
Thanks for opening the forum to the subject.
Re: Getting Together to Sew and Eat?
Yes, we often have food along with our sew-a longs. The most popular dessert is SEW easy and published in the ASG Cookbook. It is known as The Cake. 1 Box of Pillsbury Angel Food Cake Mix and 1 Can of Crushed Pineapple. Mix and bake in tube tin. Delicious and lower in calories.

I have attended several of Louise's classes and completed the core class and Certification class last year. It was well worth my time and very reasonable. Louise has given me more confidence in my ability to sew for myself and share with others. So glad to see that the continuing education is available for others.

I am most thankful for my wonderful, supportive husband who thinks everything I sew is "cool." I am also very thankful for my ASG Sisters who have shared so much of their knowledge to make me a better sewist.

I learn by doing. You'll have to show this technique at our October Retreat. Which pattern would I use this on?
