Re: Raw-Edge Bias Binding
Oh, I see now, there are two pieces of binding! I get it now, duh! Silly me.

Beautiful, but I'm confused about the measurements. In my head, I would start with a bias strip 1 1/2" wide, line up the raw edges and sew it to the good side at 3/4". Then after pressing away from the garment, you sew again at 3/8", centred between the first stitch line and the edge. There would be nothing left to trim, and three layers to brush. Does that make sense?

Re: Machine Quilt a Supple and Stylish Garment
I agree with Michianna; the article seems to stop short of the actual construction technique. I remember seeing once an assembly method that started at the centre back seam and enclosed all the seam allowances as you went around the the pieces toward the front centre seam, I think it's a quilting method of assembling squares. Does anyone have a reference for this?

I've been sewing for thirty years, and in that time I've accumulated a huge library of books, patterns and magazines. When I'm ready to make some basics for a new wardrobe, I end up wasting time sorting through so many combinations I end up getting frustrated and not sewing anything at all. This book looks like an excellent time saver that condenses all I need to just sit down and start sewing. It would simplify everything by have a quick reference at my fingertips.
