I enjoy making tailored clothing, especially tailored jackets and pants.
I need to work on fitting at the upper chest and shoulders, as well as learning what type of fabric and interfacing work best for certain patterns. That part I think will come with experience.
Now all I need is time....

Re: Style adaptations are a must when sewing for the disabled
Maybe you could rethink the title of this article. The sewing itself is not handicapped. Perhaps "Style Adaptations for the Disabled"?

I love the clean modern lines of Calvin Klein, but my favorite is Ralph Lauren. Lauren's work is all romance. He likes to mix textures, and juxtaposes masculine and feminine atributes into one look.

That's easy. My all time favorite was Inside Secrets of a Chanel Jacket in issue number 121. I actually followed the directions and made a jacket like this.

Re: What sewing topics would you like to read about in Threads?
1. The pattern review section is one of my favorites, although I would like to see all of the reviewed patterns photographed.

3. More articles on how to work with specific fabrics would be helpful.
Re: Book Giveaway: Successful Serging
I've put my serger through its paces, and used all the standard stitches, but now it's time to get creative! It's a Husquvarna Viking 5-thread serger with coverstitch capability. However, when something goes wrong, it's not easy to figure out what it the problem is. Thread tight? Needles tight? Looped correctly? Right thread? Etc.

I was thrilled that the judges liked Irena's trench! I was stunned when it came down the runway. What a classic design and a creative use of paper for the collar. It reminded me of persian lamb or fur.
