Re: How did you learn to sew?
My grammie taught me to sew before I could do my abc's or read. When I entered first grade I could not read, but I could sew and embroider. No, in those days there were no kindergartens for me where I lived.
posted: 10:34 am on April 22ndSewing classes were no fun in school as I was way ahead of the class when I entered 7th grade sewing class thanks to my grammie. Mother never sewed. There I sat making an apron by hand when I was making dresses and things to wear at home. It was boring for me.
But somehow I got through all those sewing classes in school and here I am - still sewing.
