I have a similar 3/4 15-yr-old Jaguar Mate and it is still going strong. It's adorable, portable and was the perfect machine to learn on. It has features that I don't see on more expensive full-size machines: adjustable needle position and presser foot pressure.

I love this series, but I'm a bit disappointed by the use of specialized equipment like a cutting mat and a rotary cutter. I think it would be more helpful to feature projects that can be completed with basic supplies that any beginner will have on hand. We don’t want to frustrate people who are testing the hobby with a large outlay for supplies.
