Re: Book Giveaway: "Little Things to Sew"
I have 3 little granddaughters. I love making them clothes and sewing for their American Girl dolls. I started teaching my now 7 yo grandson to sew when he was 4! (he asked me to) and he loves making projects. He knows all the parts of the sewing machine, too :-)

I truly appreciate having these instructions and photos in a format I can print and place in my "things to try" sewing notebook. While I've made pleats and pintucks in different patterns, I love the idea of trying them on already purchased, ready to wear items.

Re: Teach Yourself to Sew: Knit Fabrics
I, too, love this series. And, hope there will be one on sewing on knits. There are very few patterns that I have found that are specifically for knits. I've asked other garment sewers and have been told to just use a regular pattern. Do I need to use a stabilizer first? Cut a different way than the regular pattern? A current pattern I have for a child's pajama set has no recommendation for fabrics at all!
