I enjoy all forms of construction using a needle. Garment sewing, designing my own patterns, beading, quilting, home dec etc. I am even know to reupholster a boat when the need arises.

I started serious sewing in 9th grade home-economics class, where I had to insert a zipper, set-in sleeves, collar and cuffs. In 7th grade as a surprise I would move my mother's fabric stash off of her pfaff sewing machine and sew her a "sewing doll" from a craft book. That was the first thing I ever sewed on my own... my mother never knew I was sewing anything for her and cried when she opened her birthday present. With the exception of a break for college... I have sewn ever since!
