I have been sewing for over 35 years on and off. I began doing alterations when helping a friend start a dry cleaning business. After awhile I was, doing alterations for another drycleaner that was in the area, and this drycleaner had six other stores. Therefore, I quit the first drycleaner, but still did the alterations, and stayed at home to sew.
After over 10 years of sewing for the drycleaners, I decided to quit, and by word of mouth, I now have quite a few customers. Recently things have changed at my house. My son got married in October; my husband retired at the end of November and in February my daughter got married. Therefore, I have cut back on my sewing for others. I would like to do more for myself. So I've pulled out clothing that needed mending, started on many small projects, that I have completed and will still do alterations as I want.

Re: Book Giveaway - Sewing For Children
This is a photo album that I covered with the material I had cut off a mother-of-bride gown that I had altered.
