Thanks for such a helpful tip. I will be using it from now on as I have to extend my sleeve lenghts most of the time in patterns.

I love to sew, but I am not that great at it. I learned to sew from reading books. I use fabric in my art work as well as my art dolls. I also make some of my clothes (easy to make items). I even taught my niece to sew one summer, which was really a task since she spoke mostly spanish and I didn't speak spanish at the time.
