Marvelous! You did a fantastic job.....

Re: Fancy Fabric Challenge Entry

Absolutely beautiful! How very wonderful for you to have that special relationship in your family....... More than 5 stars!

Re: Silk 1882 ballgown

Just to stitch something like your creation would be an awesome achievement, but to have actually designed and drafted the garment....well, it's just amazing! If I had another lifetime, I'd do more in textiles.

Re: Civil War Era Ball Gown

Lovely! Makes me think of Little Women.

Re: The Rose for Becky

Awesome!

Re: Fancy Fabrics Wedding Dress

What a generous person you are to undertake such a garment. You have given her a special memory she will hold dear for the rest of her life. Good for you!

At a fine fabric shop where I worked part-time, we had a bride who wanted such a dress and it too had a 20 foot train. The train was outlined in lace pieces that had been sent out with a sample enclosed to family members to embellish. The dress was beautiful. The bridesmaids were dressed on white English maids dresses with trains that were made from cotton. When the bride came down the long aisle, a little girl behind me said with great wistfulness in her voice......"Oh, it's just like Cindarella." I'm sure that's just how your bride felt.......

Re: Mimi

Great job! Hope you enjoy wearing it as much as you evidently enjoyed designing and executing this garment. Super job!
