I've been seriously sewing since I was ten years old. My Mom had a lot of patience and also let me do I pleased with fabrics and her sewing machine. I made dolls, doll clothes, baby clothes, clothes for my sisters. I am an RN but also have a degree in Fashion Design, which I earned at 50! I adore doing childrens clothing, especially since my husband and I now have three beautiful grandchildren. I try to do at least one custom wedding gown per year. I am interested in entering contests and will pay attention in the future to any I am eligible to enter. Happy sewing!

Re: From Botch Job to Beautiful in an Afternoon!

Excuse me, carynification. The absurd 'alterations" that I saw in the many years of doing such work put me through many hours of tedious picking out stitches in order to salvage a garment. I, as KK does, pride myself on my hand stitching and masterful recreations of a possible piece of trash. The garments he creates are not always to my taste but nonetheless beautifully recreated. As to the deep armholes in another post; this will be worn by a male. Beautiful work, KK and I would love to work along side you. Call me anytime. My sewing and millinery instructors said they could hold a measure to my stitching and it was always on the money. I value pretty inside/ pretty out. Oh where can one purchase the tape?

Re: The Other Side of Couture!

I have horse loving sisters and several acquaintances who do also. I've seen Arabian competition with the horse and rider adorned to match. Quite spectacular. You chose a beautiful, fun and confident indivisual to showcase competition riding outfits. Beautiful design and execution. More successes to her and her horse!

Re: My little fairies

Very, very adorable. How fun to do that for them. I always am anxious with the fit for a child also, but it usually workd out. So fun that they loved them!

Re: Couture suit

I do not know whether or not it is from a pattern but would like to say that it appears to be well done. The skirt band is the only exception. The skirt band appears to be too tight. Enjoy, but be careful about owning a design if you don't.
