I Have worked in the trade for over 30 years and work on all sorts, from underware to designer suits. Now I teach adults , teens,and kids to sew. Things are going well at the moment. I am always on the look out for new ideas and new techs:. I have only been teaching for the last year and I love it.
I have 6 kids and 3 another on the way granchildren.I have sewing for my family all their lifes. I started at the age of ten. Now teaching my grandchildren.

If you have a pattern that has a collor with a stand attached. You can use the stand just to mak a mandrine collor.

I would add lace to the hem or wear over leggings. You could also add plain fabric to the hem matching the tartan, put some of this trim in pockets or belt to make the addition look as if it was always there.
