Re: Vote for the Winner of the 2014 SewStylish Spring Fashion Challenge

Gypsyflower, there's one in every bunch, isn't there. Everyone else is too polite to say this, but I'm not. If what you say is true, where IS your entry?

I, too, think the entries are beautiful, and it was a hard choice. Good luck! : )

Re: Unconventional Color Palette for Spring 2014

I hate those colors, too. Well, not the colors, exactly, but what they've done to them. Dull, boring blue, green, red, gray, and mustard. YUK. I'll just see if I can find colors that look good on me, and use those, as out of style I'll be. LOL

Re: Sophia's Purple Dress

Aaahhhh, so cute. And the dress is very pretty, too. LOL But seriously, the dress is gorgeous, and from what I can see of your niece, she is really cute, too. I love the pattern you made. And that cute flower you made, just sets the dress off perfectly! : )

Re: Red Carpet Dress

Very beautiful--well done. : )

Re: Combine Topstitching and Binding for an Elegant Seam Finish

This is wonderful information, thank you. I would have to find a substitute for silk, however, since it is inhumane to the silk worms. (They are dropped into a vat of boiling water to get the silk off them. Want to do that to your favorite pet, or person, to get the hair off them?) I can't quite figure out from the picture where you're doing stitch in the ditch, since it is supposed to be in the seam, but I am sick today and maybe it is and I'm just not seeing it. I'm dense when I'm well! LOL At any rate, it is great, gorgeous, and thanks so much for sharing.

I need this for my daughter. She needs to learn how to sew , and make her fit and awesome style.

Re: How to Sew a Single-Fold Clean Finish Seam

It doesn't show what they look like on the other side.

Re: Magazine Giveaway: "Threads" Issue #165 (February/March 2013)

I like hand embroidery.

Re: How to Sew Vintage PJ Bottoms

Unfortunately, Elysbeths, I live in a place where ppl wear off the rack WALMART pj's in public! These beautiful pj's would be a tremendous leap up where I live. I was unfortunate enough to come home from the hospital in summer pj's (I had no real clothes), and instead of taking me home, my brother made me go into Wendy's in my pj's! How I would have loved a pair of those pj's at that time, for sure. Anyway, I was humiliated, and kept waving my hospital bracelet in the air for everyone to see. My point? If you HAVE to wear pj's in public, those are the way to go.....

I love your Avatar, looks like the kitty out my Avatar's litter!

Threads mag all the way! It is my Christmas present every year.

Re: Book Giveaway: "Power Sewing Toolbox 1 and 2" by Sandra Betzina

I'd love to win these books because they'd make excellent additions to my library (thin as it is right now) and I could learn so much. Stubblytroll

Re: A New Improved Seam Roll

What a wonderful idea. So simple to make, yet such an invaluable tool. Bravo!
