I started sewing early on. My mother taught me. I bought my own sewing machine at age 12. I made my wedding dress and veil for $101 back in the day. Retail stores sold blouses that were just too short for my arms, so I made man-tailored blouses to fit me. I've made several quilts as wedding gifts and other occasions. For relaxation, I sew bedspreads for the grandkids and some clothes, also. I am involved in a church bazaar, doing crafts of all sorts year round.

Re: Giveaway: Simplicity Bias Tape Maker

I've struggled making my own bias tape and burning my finger tips with the hot iron. The machine makes everything a breeze to make. I think it's a wonderful machine and wouldn't mind having one.
