Machine Embroidery is my passion, specifically working with artists such as Louise Bourgeois, Angelo Filomeno, Elaine Reichek, Kent Henricksen, Sabrina Gschwandtner, Jean Shin and presently R.M. Fischer to name a few. Translating their fine art ideas into creative interpretations in stitching and occasionally combining with printing has yielded a new and challenging art form.

Keep a small sponge saturated with silicone spray near the thread feed so the thread is just passing over the surface. You can tape the sponge fragment to the sewing machine. This smooths the sewing so it can sew faster and tangle free.

I use printmaking, embroidery, sewing machines and a serger to create digital multiples at Solo Impression. Creatively the serger has possibilities that artists can explore. I would love a copy of Successful Serging for the artists to enjoy and be inspired by. I don't believe that possibilities are endless but making art is editing from the possibilities to summarize succinct ideas during one's limited time. Perhaps this book will review the options so choices are clearer.
