Re: Project Runway Episode 12 - Who Goes to NY Fashion Week?

Is it true that this is the last season????? I hope not, this is a show that I have had to watch even when I really hated some of the people, but after I got hooked I'd do the Sat. or Sun. all day thing that they used to have on Bravo......they almost kilkled it by taking it to LA, and this year it is kind of flat........I love the drama of the Scarlette guy, and the girl who won with the pettles, she was an artist.......I liked Laura , and I liked Chris also..... I like the over the top "costume" guys who think out of the box. I loved the gold bodice the the one guy did when they went to Paris, and the judges tore him apart.....did they not see how that thing fit, and laced on an curve?????? Then they go over the top for the little guy with the wild hair, he has talent, is young, and will do well if the industry gives him room to grow.....sometimes people need more than talent, and life is not fair........there is no gold at the end of the rainbow.....but we just keep trying.....and learning.....

Re: Contributing Editor Takes the Stage on Threadbanger

Dear Kenneth, I just got to SEE the video on the Threadbanger show with your demo. on making the cape. I have all of your books, and someday I will come to NY for a class....in the mean time I read everything that I can get my hands on that you do for THREADS....you are a master teacher. One question.....could you EVER do video's like this one to explain "The Moulage" or the "Birth of the Bustier" for those of us who don't learn too well from reading.......the ADD/ADHD, deslexeas of the world who have to see and hear things over and over again. I think I am smart when I send an email, I am still trying to figure out my embroidery machine, and I have 3 of them.......so you see my problem. I went to a sewing expo and went to a small lecture "I have all this stuff, now what do I do with it" I thought I'd be the only one there but NO the room was full of many of us who keep buying and then get home and go "What the heck do I do now????" You give the best directions, but even for a slow learner I'd love a slow and tell to go back to....I have post it notes everywhere for even small things...am I the only one who loves to creat, but wants to give up????? Thanks for your help......

Re: Working with Embellished Fabrics, Part 2

Susan, after reading this I might try to take some of this lace that I have for Tutus and try to make something else to wear. I still have that wonderful black lace with the crystals that I bought in St. Louis, I will HAVE to fine something wonderful to do with it before I die. ........I hope to be able to take more classes in the future, but times being what they are, I will read your wonderful articles in THREAD; Thank you for you help,

Re: Working with Embellished Fabrics, Part 2

Dear Susan, once again you created magic!! I have had the pleasure of taking classes from Susan. One was her couture class and another was a courset class. If I could I'd go to as many as possible, there is always tons to learn, and I met some true artist in her classes. She is on classie lady. If you ever get an oppertunity to take a class from her, jump in and go, it is worth every minute!!!!
