Re: Enter to Win the Teach Yourself to Sew Sweepstakes

I make copies of all my patterns. My right hand for doing this for years was a little inexpensive French Curve that was put out by Dritz, stock #D89051. It's made of thin bendable white plastic with black lettering that makes it easy to read and much easier to handle than my large solid plastic that is always hitting me when I turn it. It has an opening on the straight side and the curve sides of an 1/8", one side is 1/2" the other 5/8"/, they make quick work of drawing in seams. It also has punch outs for large pattern dots and both edges are ruled. I have tried to find another one for over two years without any luck. I know Dritz has them in their warehouse stock because i got on to their night watchman during my midnight wandering, he was very nice and gave me day time numbers to call. I would need to bye a gross to buy from the warehouse, it's their minimum. If anyone has an address to get one I'd appreciate having it.Happy Sewing, twilightdancer

Re: Princess seams, and other treacherous curves!

Thank you Kenneth for the princess seam directions, as always your instructions are a snap to follow.
I've always loved your designs and wish you had a pattern company, hope you think of it for the future. I've turned gray with you and would like someone to design for my age, I don't wear slips in public and have seen only about two dresses in two years that didn't look like they put on the slip only to forgot the dress. I have what I think is your first video with Miss America. I might have been wrong, but I felt sorry for what you seemed to have to put up with making it with her. In the future could you do the bias cut from one piece of fabric. It was done so fast on the video I've been afraid to try it.
Again sewing and lifetime thanks for the great instruction.
