Before your start sewing something you pinned always think "did I really put the rights sides together now?"
My next level of learning would be pants. :)
It's hard to compete against China with those beutiful traditional satin silks!
Claire Mccardell, because of her whole practical view while not sacrificing elegance or fun. Something for us all to aspire to.
Don't stress. You are worth the time to relax and think things trough.
I am in love with the 50s!
I like to use my clothes during all seasons (the most heated summers and the swedish snow filled winters) and would like to design a fashion line that fits that goal, as well as stylish, comfortable and fitting together. It's so boring to lay away your favourite clothes for several months!

I actually was to buy this book an hour ago but waited for it a bit. A giveaway seams like some stroke of faith.

The victorian. Beutiful fabrics and silhouettes.
I have a hat collection that I display in my living room. I am quite fond of them and I've actually just bought some supplies to try making my own hats. Some guidance and insipration would be great :)
I have always been fasinated by Schiparelli's interest in art, which I would like to read more about. It is always interesting to read about women to design clothes and see how they interprent their thought and ideas into how they dress themselves.
I always try to make something. But this year is tight on time. But you never know what december brings...
A beutiful bodice to a dress. :)
I would love to read this book! Fabric design is such an interesting topic and the opportunity to be guided in it facinating.
