Re: Sew Better with Staystitching Fundamentals

Thank you MaryKay.
I noticed you did not clip through the stay stitching. I assume it would defeat the purpose of the stitching. On tight curves I've noticed my stay stitching seems to cause wrinkles on the front side, after pressing. Is this a tension issue with my stitches or something else? I ended up going in and making clips through the stitching up to the seam stitching to get rid of the wrinkles.
Thanks for any insight.

Re: Leather Passementerie

Thank you for sharing, it's a wonderful technique. I can't wait to try it. The softness it adds to an otherwise strong contrast of fur and leather is beautiful. An artistic delight.

Re: How to Make a Lovely Pleated-Ribbon Trim

Do try this technique on satin fabric...first make tucks about 2 inches apart going one way (Verticle)...then do the same going the horizontal. Then hand tack folded edges of each square in the center...makes a lovely bow and gives plenty of manipulated fabric to work with...It's also very fast.
