Your entry can be any special occasion garment. Just be sure to read the official rules to make sure your ensemble is eligible. There should be three or more pieces including an accessory. "Handmade" refers to a garment you have made yourself and is not purchased ready-made. Sewing machine and other tool use is definitely allowed in creating your entry.

The problem might be with the actual dimensions of your photo rather than in the file size. The photo needs to be between 400px and 1,200px in width and height in order to upload.
