Re: MAGAZINE GIVEAWAY: "Designer Techniques"
Cristobal Balenciaga for his innovative, unusual lines that so flattered a woman's figure, especially around the waistline, and which even looked feminine when his blueprint might be men's ecclesiastical garments.

He also often used that so flattering front waistline. It creates such a graceful line.

Lovely and interesting work with this hard-to-find fabric!

The jacket is an amazing piece of work, and I love being able to get up close and personal with the stitches, which would be impossible in a museum, so thank you, Kenneth.

Though, come to think of it, I guess the perfect style and best form (regardless of what you think of the activity) actually is rather stately. You're not supposed to scramble around ungracefully, climb the barriers, or run from the bull.
Re: Create an Illusion Mesh Edge
It's just fabric that's meshy and sheer, like what you'd use for bridal or often costumes. It can be called mesh or tulle or illusion, and it's pretty easy to find. marcytilton.com has it, as do these vendors (though some may be temporarily out of it):

Re: The Fortuny Shirt
What a fine shirt, and I love the illustration of the very pretty binding technique.
