I'm a 55 year old woman living in the stunning foothills of the Catalina Mountains in Tucson, Arizona. After growing-up, working as a teacher, and becoming the mother of four sons in suburban New York, my husband and I relocated our young family to the southwest with a hoop-ana-holler! We've completely fallen in love with life in the Sonoran Desert with one exception: the conservative politics! :)

I have fibromyalgia, a neurological-muscular disorder, the symptoms of which forced me to leave the teaching profession I loved so dearly. Over time, my interest in sewing was resurrected from its Junior HIgh School burial and I've discoered the creative joy of transforming fabric & thread into apparel and home decor items.

I now design and make maternity tops as well as infant and children's clothes, 100% of which I donate to families in need at the Arizona/Mexico border. In this way, I am still connected to young children and experience a similar satisfaction and happiness to what I felt when I was teaching on Long Island, New York.
