bags from scraps

little black and white bag from linen cotton and rayon

I found myself with a sewing room full of scraps and looked for something to do with them all. I started making bags and totes as gifts. The black and white is of my own design, with just stitich in the ditch quilting and a pretty button to cover the snap closure. The totes are a commercial pattern which easily lends itself to the use of scraps. The totes are lined with complimentary home dec fabric and have pockets made from more of the fabric used on the outside. I love all the speciality stitches on my machine and had fun using them to quilt these bags
