My Great Grey Owl
After studying owls in her kindergarten class my daughter chose her favorite owl the great grey to be for halloween.

I made a basic poncho with a hood and embellished it with fabric feathers. The feathers which I cut out with a pinking rotary blade.
The mask I made out of some pressed board covered with felt. My daughter and I hot glued on the feathers. The beak is wool felt and is hand sewn up the back and stuffed with wool roving. The beak was then hand sewn onto the felt mask.
Super cute! It also looks like it would be toasty warm!!!
