GaleGalen strives to recreate the understated sophistication of fashion from European and American designers of past eras. This creation is a nod to the 1920s/30s era of clothes cut on the bias. It was created from a Donna Karan/DKNY pattern using a green/teal sequinned silk fabric, lined in a teal solid. The front is a draped bias which is cut in one with the lower back – no side seams! The sequinned fabric was a bit light and see through, so a lining for the dress was drafted (not part of the instruction).

That's really pretty and beautiful construction. I have that pattern in my stash, but never thought of making it from fancy fabric. Thanks for the inspiration!
This is fabulous!
