Baby Boy Duckie Romper

Bubble style duckie romper made for a close family friend’s new baby boy. Fabric is seersucker with embroidered ducks. I had to button this “the girls’ way” because there was a duck missing on the fabric. (I didn’t have all my ducks lined up!) Collar and tie are white line pique. Collar’s “rickrack” is actually a serpentine stitch; duck designs: Martha Pullen’s Minis.

To me the pattern as to button size and placement was off, so I used larger buttons. We still weren’t technically sized perfectly, but by going with larger buttons we were much closer. MOP buttons, hidden snap crotch.
