No Alterations Needed

submitted by Cynthia Dunn

As time passes, I find that some of my favorite patterns have gotten a little snug. I solve this problem by stitching with 1/4-inch seam allowances instead of the usual 5/8 inch indicated on my pattern. I only do this on the side and underarm sleeve seams, which is usually enough to do the trick. Now I have the extra room I need without making any pattern alterations.
