Sew a Buttonhole from the Ground Up

submitted by Paula Hudson
from Threads #102

By sewing the least noticed buttonhole first and the most noticed buttonhole last you’ll have practiced making buttonholes enough times to get the most noticeable one perfect. For blouses, sew the bottom buttonhole first and work your way up. And since the bottom buttonhole of a dress is noticed more than the second from the bottom, first sew the one second from the bottom.
