Copy Your Garments with Precision
When it comes to replicating and outlining any curved shape, you really can’t beat the wonderful properties of a flexible ruler. This ruler with an inner lead core comes in a variety of sizes and can contour almost anything. Think of all the times you could have used a tool that could copy the shape of what you were working on so that you could then transform it into a flat pattern. Well, a flexible ruler does just that. So now, you don’t have to resort to wrapping wires or coat hangers around your patterns to capture the shapes that you’ve always wanted. Jean Haas shows you how to simply use an assortment of flexible rulers to quickly and easily do a precise and more professional job for all your pattern work.

Each time I attempt to obtain so-called "insider information," I receive an invitation to become an insider.
I believe I am already signed up (as [email protected]), so the process sends me in circles.
Am I the only one who is having difficulty availing myself of the new offering?
Am I doing something wrong?
I even went so far as to go through the change-password process, but that didn't work, either.
Help!
@JoFray: I've forwarded your comment over to our customer service department. They should be able to help with any issues you are having with your account. Once you are logged in, and see the "You Are IN" message in the upper right corner, you should be able to view all Insider-only content.
Interesting. However I have never seen thy type of mrasuring tool. Where can i purchase it?
I have tried also. Why do we have to be an insider anyway? I subscribe to Sew News. Am frustrated with the hoops one has to jump thru to really benefit from subscribing, only to find we need to subscribe again and again for anything more than ads!
seem to be having same problem as first commenter -- I received my confirmation of subscription to the insider version but every time I log in I get bumped back to the popup ad and when I click on "already an insider" in the upper right of the popup and enter my e-mail and password it just takes me back through the same loop. I'm sure I'm messing up in some really obvious way, but can't figure out exactly how. Thanks very much.
Flexible ruler: BRILLIANT. Any idea where I an buy it in France or Germany? Naturally need centimeter markings.
Try looking in drafting or architecture supply stores for the bendy ruler.
This happened to me too. It was because I was logging in with a different password than the one I originally signed up with umpteen years ago. Contact customer service--they'll tell you how to reset it.
Here in Atlanta you can purchase one at Sam Flax art store. Check your local art store in the ruler section. If there is an art school or design school they will surely have these in different sizes. I recently bought two: one with a ruler and one without.
I got one of these rulers from a shop called the works cost me a pound.
Thanks for info on The Works I will try and see if I can get one there, looks really really useful.
I'm experiencing problems opening this article too. I'm also an insider subscriber.
