Simplicity Pattern Company releases their Summer Collection featuring the newest SewStylish pattern.
New SewStylish pattern
SewStylish pattern 1808 is a complete summer ensemble. The outfit starts off with a dress or top with a neckline yoke, front gathers, and elastic in the sleeve hem. This comfortable and sweet look is paired with a 3/4-sleeve jacket with a narrow lapel and peplum. The top and jacket goes nicely with the front-pleated pants or shorts, which have a tie waist and elastic three quarters around the waist.
Dresses
The newest addition to the Amazing Fit Collection, pattern 1800, is a summer dress with a pleated skirt, a princess seam bodice, and three sleeve options: elbow, short, and halter. Included are three fit options: slim, average, and curvy and multiple cup sizes: B through D for miss and C through DD for plus size.
Pattern 1802, from the Cynthia Rowley Collection, is an artistic dress with distinctive design lines highlighted by flat piping. Choose from three sleeve length variations and optionally color block.
Blouse
Pattern 1806 is a pullover top for woven fabrics. Pair the multiple bodice variations–an uneven hemline, a tie front, and an optional ruffle embellishment–with the sleeveless, cap-, or three quarter length sleeve choices. The neckline is a simple scoop or a draped cowl-like collar.
Ensemble
Finish your summer wardrobe with an easy-to-sew ensemble, pattern 1810, available in misses and plus sizes. Make a sleeveless or short sleeve top or dress with pleats at the shoulders. An attached tie belt finishes the look. Pair the top with the elastic-waist slim-fit pants.

Summer means cotton skirts and dresses. In fact Simplicity 1800 & 1808 are on my list along with a couple from last year's collections.
Good luck with finding the 1800 and 1802 patterns. At our JoAnn the 1800's began with 1846. Of course, they could be behind in loading the drawers but one would think that they would want to keep up with what is coming across the internet. Mostly what we get from our JoAnn's is attitude. Sends us straight to Hancock's.
My sewing for the summer. Costumes for a drama and a favorite musical "The Music Man" 1912-era. Fun.
I'm sorry you have trouble at your JoAnn store! As an employee, I know that we are dependent on the pattern companies to keep us stocked. We don't choose what patterns we receive, how many or when. It's all up the pattern companies to make those decisions and send us what they see fit. It's frustrating for us too! We want to please the customer! I can't always find what I want either!
Please vent your frustration towards the pattern company. When they see the demand for certain patterns at your store, they may send them your way. They may not fully understand the demographics of your area.
As for summer sewing? Pajama shorts for my boys, swim shirts for my boys and husband and summer dresses for me and my daughter. And lots of repairs....
