It’s time to celebrate summer fashion! With the arrival of our SewStylish Summer Fashion issue, we are offering you the opportunity to win with SewStylish and So Vintage Patterns.
Share your handmade designer-inspired garments in our SewStylish Summer Fashion Challenge gallery. Simply upload photos of your garment with a short description including any techniques, materials, or patterns used before the deadline of July 31, 2012, 11:59 pm EST. Any information you share with us in the description will help us judge your garment, so be sure to include any information that will help us understand your entry. One winner will be chosen by Threads editors and announced on August 5th. There is no limit to the number of garments you can enter. Your entry must be handmade by you, but does not have to be created specifically for this contest.
Winner will receive a $75 Gift Certificate to So Vintage Patterns – the fashion resource to the world, online since 1996 offering a tempting selection of true vintage sewing patterns for all tastes!
See Official Rules for details.
I am so excited to say that I just now read about the runway maxi/ mini sheer over look, because that is my first pattern I have designed and am working on as we speak!!!!!! I have done it all out of muslin and I have also added a top to go with it! I am a self taught sewer and I cannot get enough of Threads!!!!!!!! I have started a collection of the magazine seeing I just found out how long it has been in circulation! Any help and information on finding back issues would be so much Appreciated! Thanks for a great web site and an Absolutely wonderful interesting and informative magazine! Sincerely Cheryl Henderson. Happy Sewing to All :)

Threads is a great magazine and website. The information here is endless and the techniques are first class.
If you are interested in back issues the best way to get them is the complete cd(dvd) collection. My husband bought it for me at christmas and now I have all the issues.
Happy Sewing!!
