Been thinking about making a miniature sampler quilt wallhanging so hope to find some ideas inspiration tips etc if I am lucky enough to win this book.
I am always looking for new ideas for quick projects and to share with new sewers. This book looks like it would have good projects for teenagers to practice their skills.
My eight year old grand daughter is completely taken with Laura Ingalls Wilder. She has her mother's Little House series and we've just purchased the Prairie Girl's Guide to Life. She lives on a ranch with her father, mother, sister, three ranch dogs, one barn cat, cattle, a new baby bull that she feed with a bottle and five horses. She has decided that the country life is for her. I am introducing the world of sewing to her and her sister and she wants to be a prairie girls for Halloween. She and I would make the draw string bag to go with her costume first and then probably the rag rug for her room. I would want to win the copy for her. She would be thrilled!
Retired June, 2013 and am excited to begin on my Bucket List which includes making a rag rug! We have 8 grandchildren ages 6 to 22 months--I am looking forward to sewing with them also!
Id love to win this book! Bet there are tons of cute things to make
It is hard to pick just one thing, but I will probably start with the rag rugs. It is something I have been looking into lately. How much fun to win!

The first thing I would make is a draw string bag.

Just getting back into sewing. Some of these sound like great projects to get started on.
