The autumn months are fast approaching and we couldn’t be more excited for fall fashions! To help celebrate the arrival of the SewStylish Fall Fashion issue, we are giving you the opportunity to enter the SewStylish Fall Fashion Challenge!
To enter, share your handmade lightweight jackets, coats, or other seasonal outerwear in our SewStylish Fall Fashion Challenge gallery. Upload photos of your creations with a short description including any techniques, materials, or patterns used before the deadline of September 30, 2013, 11:59 pm EDT. Be sure to included any information about the garment that will help us understand how your submission was made.
Submissions will be reviewed and judged by Threads editors who will then select five (5) semi finalists. The semi finalists will be judged inspiration, technique, skill, and design. Online Members will then choose one (1) winner in an online poll. There is no limit to the number of garments you can enter. Although your entry must be handmade by you, it does not have to be created specifically for this contest.
The winner will recieve a Juki MO-654DE Serger worth $1,320.00! The MO-654DE has built-in rolled hemming and performs all the popular overlock and flatlock variations. Add serging techniques to your world of sewing and open new doors to design opportunities!
