The holiday season is here, and that means you’ll soon be receiving invitations for a variety of parties and fancy events. After deciding what parties to attend, the next big decision is what to wear, or better yet, what to sew. If you are making your party attire it’s time to show it off. Whether it’s a floor-length evening gown made from embellished fabrics, or a beautiful beaded cocktail dress, we want to see your fanciest garments made from the fanciest fabrics! You could win a Catona #50 Mini Thread Chest by Madeira and a $150 gift certificate to Britex Fabrics!

HOW TO ENTER
Share photos of the fancy garments you’ve made from one of the following fabrics: Satin, Lace, Beaded fabrics, Sequined fabrics, Embroidered fabrics, Sparkled fabrics, Metallic fabrics, Brocade, Velvet, Shantung, Organza, Taffeta, Charmeuse and Lamé to the 2013 Fancy Fabrics Challenge gallery. Be sure to upload images that clearly show garment details.

Garments can be newly made, or something you’ve previously created. There is no limit to the number of garments you may enter. You MUST include a description detailing the fabric(s) and the construction techniques used. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. ET on January 8, 2014.

WINNER SELECTION
Threads editors will choose the top 5 finalists based on the construction techniques shown and the design that best highlights the fabric(s) used. ThreadsMagazine.com members will then choose the winner out of the 5 finalists in an online poll. Failure to comply with the official rules will result in disqualification from the Challenge and forfeiture of any prize or of the right to any prize.

PRIZE
The winner will be awarded one (1) Catona #50 Mini Thread Chest by Madeira (MSRP: $165 USD) and a $150 gift certificate to Britex Fabrics.
