I like View A - it's a dressy look with interesting detail - and I have some awesome buttons just asking to be shown off. This would be the perfect backdrop for them. Also love that the pattern comes in size 6. So many of the Sew Stylish patterns start at size 8 and I can't use them. :( Size 4-12!

  4. CatDoesIt | | #4

That view c has a lot of potential... Size 12-20.

  5. user-1067578 | | #5

I am very attracted to the jacket. Size 14-20. It looks like it would be very flattering to any figure type and can be made several different ways

  6. slimmingworld100 | | #6

Since I am a large chested woman view C would suit my build. I would like to make that view in size 14-20. Thank you.

  16. sc79 | | #16

I really like view D. Looks very stylish and could be worn dressed up or casual with chinos or jeans. Size 4-12.

  17. user-2449082 | | #17

    coffeetastic | | #18

Definitely View C, for the lapels, because that's a great look on me. I'd extend the length some for personal preference, and I have a great source for the back button band detail. (Oh, size 14-20.)

  19. SuzyQCanuck | | #19

View C in the 12-20; adding a froggish closure at the bottom of the lapels.

  20. stillSTH | | #20

I really like jacket A; I could see doing a version in tweed for work and one in faux suede to wear with jeans. (Size 12-20)

  21. Tru | | #21

There are so many ways that jacket could be made to suit any accasion. Would be nice to get the pattern and try. Size 16.

  22. lilyharkom | | #22

Probably view C, I like the clean, classic lines and shapes. It would look lovely in a bold colour, with maybe some beaded decorative cuff accents, over a LBD. Size 12-20 :)

  23. SheJoan | | #23

I like jacket A. The design lines are fun. I like the mocked princess neckline. Size 4-12 would work for me.

  24. birdsews | | #24

I like the jacket, version A. It would go great with the skirt or wish jeans! I need size 12-20.

  25. showdog1719 | | #25

I love the details in A. It would be easy to make this for evening, work or just fun by using fabric, buttons, etc. that is you. (sz. 4-12)

  26. emilygmw | | #26

I like the blue jacket in view B, both because I like the ruffles and I like the flattering strong vertical lines. I need pattern size 4-12.

  27. Caryl61 | | #27

Love the jacket with the long narrow collar - great detailing on the back! One of my favorite fall looks is a tailored jacket with a softer floral or plaid skirt! I would love to win the size 14-20!

  28. Adventitiously | | #28

I love the jacket. Could make several to go from jeans to an evening at the theater, or just to wear on a cool autumn evening. Size 14-20.

  29. cathj | | #29

I like the lines of View C for my more mature figure. I think it would be quite becoming in a beautiful deep red silk fabric.
    Size 12-20.

    Loven2teach | | #33

Being a Teacher of three levels of Fashion Design, I love this pattern for my second level students. It will build on their previous year's skills with the skirt, and then the jacket has varied designs so we can talk about how designers utilize the same base pattern and change the look with details. The lines of the jacket will appeal to my students and the fitted darts blends nicely with the standards that I need to meet. All around a great teaching pattern for aspiring designers.

  34. andreala | | #34

My favorite is jacket view A. The neckline is very flattering and seems to be faster to construct than C but still with lots of style. Size 12-20.

  35. DBurchard | | #35

I could see myself making one in each of the necklines! I like them all! The larger size, please.

  36. mamamere | | #36

I have the perfect light-weight wool blend fabric in my fabric stash for view C, which would be perfect to wear with either slacks or dressy jeans this fall. Size 12-20 please!

  37. leannlafave | | #37

View C is my favorite -- it has clean, simple lines. The others are a bit too sporty or youthful for me.
    Size 12-20

  38. Lbeck858 | | #38

I like all the jacket views and I like the skirt. It's cute and flirty!

  39. jaggededge | | #39

Love view B. Such a versatile pattern I would make it slightly shorter to wear with jeans, trousers or a pencil skirt. Perfect!
    Size 4 - 12

  40. user-761440 | | #40

Boy, I liked all the versions, especially the detail in the back. But, since I have to pick one, it will be A. I like the more unusual collar and neckline.

  41. user-761440 | | #41

Boy, I liked all the versions, especially the detail in the back. But, since I have to pick one, it will be A. I like the more unusual collar and neckline. Size 8 for me! Thanks for this opportunity.

  42. daglag | | #42

I like jacket view C. A mid-thigh skirt is way to short for this wannabe grandma. Size 12-20.

  43. CAS48 | | #43

I like the feminine details in view B. I would need size 12-20.

  44. user-2855244 | | #44

I really like the jacket with the ruffles--it looks so feminine!

  45. user-2855244 | | #45

I really like the jacket with the ruffles--it looks so feminine!

  46. jeanneanne | | #46

As I am an older person whose waist had thickened over the years, the dropped waist of the skirt is not something I would want to make, but the jackets are just right for embellishing with many different techniques. Size 12 - 20.

  47. BossLady4me | | #47

I like the jacket with the buttons, and no collar. To me it is slimming and inlongates the torso.

  48. BossLady4me | | #48

I like the jacket with the buttons, and no collar. To me it is slimming and inlongates the torso. Sorry, size 12-20. Then both me and my DIL can use the pattern.

    kathys120 | | #49

I like the jacket best. It has nice shaping--not too boxy and is just the right length. I would need size 12 through 20.

  50. Lady_D | | #50

The jacket, view A has nice clean lines. I would love to have that in size 12-20.

  51. Multicrafter | | #51

I like the jacket with the ruffle front because you can dress it up with an evening gown, or dress it down with a pair of jeans and either way you wear it it will be right on Trend for today. Size 12-20 is what I need. Thank you.

  52. furballs | | #52

Really like the jacket collar on View C. Jackets are one of my favourite things to wear.

  53. furballs | | #53

    Oops, forgot. Size 12-20.

  54. gma23boyz | | #54

    View C jacket..love the collar! Sizes 14-20.

  55. tooold | | #55

I like Jacket B. It is feminine and practical. Size 12-20.

  56. Darcia | | #56

I love the look of the skirt with the jacket. Most business style suit skirts are too long and look terrible with tights.

  57. Darcia | | #57

I love skirts but still need the larger 14-20 size in a shorter length.

  58. ejanieb | | #58

Jacket view A size 12-20....since retirement I don't wear many skirts...it would go with jeans, pants or skirt!

  59. user-1086650 | | #59

View A is my favorite. It is clean looking that would go great with jeans. Size 12 - 20.

  60. Paula_Beron5 | | #60

I love B, ive been flirting around these pattern. Love the jackets, and love the simplicity, of B.

  61. user-368686 | | #61

I like View A, it's something different, nice lines. Size 12-20.

  62. catharinab | | #62

I love to sew jackets! I may try A and B. I have recently made a few maxi skirts and can see winter coming along with one of these jackets, a cute skirt and some boots. I would need a 4-12 size

  63. LCJsew | | #63

My favorite is jacket A. I like it because it brings attention to the upper part of my torso with its unique detail. I would need size 14-20.

  64. User avater
    sewin_n_beadin | | #64

I am torn between view A and view C of the jacket. I love the way a jacket finishes a look and can be casual or dressy. I think my favorite is view C styled like a tuxedo in unexpected fabrics. (sz 12 - 20)

  65. Ckiser | | #65

I like jacket view c. I like the collar. size 12-20

  66. marolsh | | #66

I prefer the view C jacket. It would look great in almost any fabric, dressy or sporty, and it doesn't have fussy details. It could be made in matelassé with peau de soie lapels, or denim with leather trim. Just sleek and chic! (In sizes 12-20.)

  67. twinsmommy | | #67

I love both the skirt and the jacket view C. The skirt would flatter my body shape and the jacket is the perfect addition to my professional wardrobe. I would need the pattern size 12-20. Thanks!

  68. bindu123 | | #68

I like view C. It will definitely good on me as well as it will good for even to a younger body type.my size in 12-20 range
    Thanks

  69. laurie_brown | | #69

I like jacket A best- it looks like it would fit into a steampunk type outfit. I have to admit that I really like jacket B, too, though, because ruffles!

    Size 14 to 20

  70. LindamMMMM | | #70

I think view c. I don't have a jacket with that kind of collar. The red with the red print skirt has given me ideas. Size 14 -20

  71. Peachie12 | | #71

I like both jacket view C & B. I'd be most likely to make view C first as it seems to be the most versatile - dress up, dress down. It also looks like it flatters your shape. Size 4-12. Thanks!

  72. User avater
    Eileenmm | | #72

I love jacket B. The details are so pretty and I can see it in a variety of fabrics from dressy to casual. Size 12-20.

  73. msfroggy | | #73

I love jackets and really like both A and C; A for the interesting front details, and C for that classy versatile look. I'll probably make C first, using the size 4-12 size pattern.

  74. user-1118622 | | #74

I would like to make jacket A.. I haven't sewn a jacket yet and I am excited to try this one. Size 4-12

  75. gvf | | #75

One of each would be nice, but B draws my eye. 12-20

  76. halifaxfaye | | #76

View c. I like the feminine line on the front edge

  77. malyndiadarlene | | #77

The dreamy me loves view C because of the tuxedo like collar. I can picture this outfit in beautiful Silks and shiny materials to dazzle the evening scene (perhaps even some beading down the collar. The practical me would sew view A first. After having to live in my car with a very limited wardrobe, this would be perfect to get back on the job track now that I live in an apartment. It looks quick and easy to sew and I could whip up several combinations of style in no time. And that is the reason I love this whole pattern: versatility and flattering style no matter what body type you are. I would need size 14-20...thank you for this opportunity...

  80. KiraPi | | #80

    Size 12-20

  81. user-339073 | | #81

LOVE Jacket C with those long, elegant lapels. And what a perfect accompaniment to the flirty skirt! Size 14-20 please. :)

  82. carla109 | | #82

View C with the skirt is my favorite look. Although View A is a very close second! I would need the 14-20 if I'm chosen. Thank you for the opportunity to win!

  83. Quiltgran | | #83

Great look wardrobe builders. Love the skirt. Size 12-20.
    Thanks

  84. bja1701 | | #84

I like jacket view A best, although they are all good. I particularly like the nipped in "lapel" effect and the buttons and decorative seamline.

    Size 12 - 20.

  85. Sewfoolish | | #85

size 4 please! I have the perfect material to create the jacket...can't wait! : )

  86. user-1142986 | | #86

I can't choose between view A or B I love the different necklines on both ( size 12) thank you

  87. MumsyDesign | | #87

Love C - such delightful lines and the style compliments all body types. Size 4 - 12.

  88. KaSchu | | #88

I love the jacket view C with the long lapels. Size 4-12 please.

  89. Jocelynann | | #89

This is the sort of jacket everyone needs in their wardrobe - can be worn anywhere, dress up or dress down, love it and want it!!
    12 - 20 thank you.

  90. mrssmitty | | #90

I like the jacket and skirt set because it is very professional for a job interview, or just to wear out for and evening. I like the 12 thru 20 size. Thank you giving me the chance to enter this contest.

  91. Tempest1961 | | #91

I like view C,, the blazer with the long lapels. They just look really elegant.

  92. user-304354 | | #92

    What a find; a comfortable flattering pair . I've made view A
a few times and wore it to death.Need a 14-20
1- I'd make view A and skirt as a suit , skirt a little longer
both in a strong jewel color , jacket with a print or embroidered silk lining .Each piece could also be worn separately.
2- For an occasion , the jacket in black velvet with something glitzy and large near the shoulder, lined in a strong color silk. The skirt as in the lace you recommend in your last issue , or with a black sheer overlay on the jacket lining color.
3- With jeans and to contrast with the smooth knit of a sweater top, a chunky tweed in a blue grey hue
    Thanks for the inspiration.
    Grace Mullins

  93. MsHem | | #93

Although I like the red jacket with drape lapel, I would probably choose the gold jacket that has the stand collar and notched placket. this would be a great addition to any wardrobe to wear with jeans or dress pants. ( size 12-20 please)
    P.S. Love your newsletter!

  94. DawnM70 | | #94

I like view A. Great for work! Size 14-20.

  95. cweetgal | | #95

I love the mustard Jacket. I would love to make that unique lapel !Size 12-20

  96. Horgolt | | #96

I like view C,the blazer with the long lapels. Would love a size 12 - 20. But I love all of them!

  97. smonakey | | #97

I'm not generally fond of frills, but I like the jacket with the frill on the front. It's a nice touch without being overly done. Size 4-12.

  98. luckysue | | #98

The B jacket design is simply scrumptious. You could make it either dressed up or dressed down depending on the fabric used and it will look absolutely brill.

  99. luckysue | | #99

OOps! Forgot to say which size pattern - 12 - 20 if I'm lucky enough to win.

  100. golfer52 | | #100

I love Jacket B! It's so sleek and goes with pants, capris, skirts, jeans or shorts! It will be great for work or play and in many different fabrics and with lots of embellishments! Like all home sewers, I have some "stash" that will be a perfect match with this pattern and Mood is always sending me emails with great sales that will also work for this fall. It is so hard to find a pattern that is so versatile and that will be easy to fit with the many seams. I know this is a winner and I hope I am too! Size 4-12.

  101. GrammysSC | | #101

Love view C with the shawl collar. It has such nice lengthening lines and can easily be adjusted for a heavier, petite figure. That jacket with the skirt made a little longer would take me anywhere and keep the chill off in the winter under a coat. Size 12-20 please

  102. lovetosewsorselo | | #102

I'm not "lovetosewsorselo" but can't seem to change this so here's my comment anyway.([email protected]) I absolutely love to sew, especially jackets, and have completely fallen in love with both jackets A and B. I even have the perfect fabrics just waiting to be cut. Embellishments are my trademark and I have them planned out in my mind as well. Now all I need is the size 14-20 pattern and I'm set to go!

  110. skmgardens | | #110

I like view B & C.. I like the frills jacket because it is unique and fun.
View C is a casual jacket that would be great for everyday wear. It is also perfect for my 21 year old daughter who is in an Art college.

  111. viking dreams | | #111

Love this pattern for it's "Chanel" simplicity. It could be used for all seasons and is a classic jacket style that I would be able to use all year long. Size 14 1 18 20.

  112. viking dreams | | #112

Going to re-sumit my comment since there was some confusion about this "viking dreams" person.

Anyway, this pattern is a great year round pattern for me because for one thing it is a classic "Chanel" style look that can accommodate many fabrics. Little tweeks to the pattern like adding braid round the hest area and lower would make it look completely different.

Forgotten to add size. 12-20 please. The skirt is the type that my daughter loves to wear. She doesn't wear pants so we are always looking for dress/ skirts patterns.

  114. SallyL | | #114

I like view A of the jacket that keeps the point of interest closer to the face. size 12 - 2, please.

  115. JulieKay | | #115

I think they're all great; however, I'm particular drawn to View C because it has a more feminine look. Size 14-20. Thanks!

  116. StitchinTam | | #116

I like the simplicity of view C, but I prefer view A and would make that one for myself. The collar adds interest, and the lines of the buttons adds a verticality that I think would be flattering.

    size 12-20 pattern

Every wardrobe should have a few really great blazers in it, and any of these would be a welcome addition.

The favorite? I really like view C of this pattern because the combination of unusual lapel and darted front give it a nice clean professional look.

If I was to win, I would like to receive a size 12-20 pattern.

Thanks for the opportunity to enter and possibly win!

    Ree

  118. Lsax | | #118

I can just see this outfit on my eldest grand daughter. I love blazer C and the skirt just like in the picture. Size 4-12. If she loves it I can use the pattern over and over as she grows.

  119. myMarilyn | | #119

I would definitely make the jackets. I love to have multiple jackets to change the look of basic pants and skirts. I am a size 12 so I can go with either size pattern, but would maybe take the 12 - 20.

    SnickerDoodle_Kids | | #120

    Love the view A jacket.

  121. carojo | | #121

I would make view A, in the large 12-20 size

  122. realhappy | | #122

I love all the jackets because they look like flattering styles. I'd probably start with version C because I like the styling, it reminds me of some cardigans, but with jacket structure. I would like the 12-20 size.

  123. annsantist | | #123

"C" wins for me. Love the lapel. That's something I haven't seen before.

  124. jcw0110 | | #124

View B for the ruffles! Size 4-12

  125. pdlb1956 | | #125

I really like view A. Sleek and fun. Size 12-20

  126. HarmonyQ | | #126

I like View A with the buttons because I feel that the strong vertical lines made by the button placement would elongate my figure. I would need the size 4-12. Thank you for offering this giveaway.

  127. martha_moser | | #127

I like the style that is first illustrated, view A, gold fabric with cuts into the lapel. The style looks like it presents some complexity, which is always interesting to look at and a delicious challenge to sew. I'd like sizes 12 through 20.

  128. martha_moser | | #128

I like view B which can easily be turned into a Chanel looking jacket. Size 4 to 12

  131. MthMoM | | #131

I like the simple lapel on A.
    size 12-20, pls

  132. SharonPicone | | #132

View A is my absolute favorite. I love the jacket shaping and the fact that I can get really creative with buttons down the front. Size 4-12.

  133. paula45870 | | #133

View A is gorgeous and is my favorite! I can see it in black wool with gold braid and buttons along the front for the office or in white cotton twill with horn buttons to pair with jeans in the summer. Neckline is flattering without being bulky. Love it! (Size 4-12)

I really love the jacket (C) pattern because I have no jacket patterns and it looks like it isn't too hard and it's very cute!
the size I would need is 4 through 12.

The RED of course, who wouldn't love a fitted stylish jacket that conforms to your torso and hips all at once..... Added bonus the lapels on the red jacket looks like you are already wearing a scarf :)
    Size 12-20 please ❤️

Love the pattern, the jacket would look great with either jeans or something more dressy. The red jacket is particularly nice with the long lapels. (sz 12 - 20)

Would make view B, it has a very Chanel look to it. I would need size 12 to 20. Thanks Threads

I prefer View C. I would like to make it in turquoise in size 12 to 20. I think the stylish lapel is a little different, but elegant and classy. Then I would want to also make it in beige so it will go with all different colored skirts. What a beautiful design. It will make me look thinner too! It appears to be slenderizing.

My favorite is the jacket with the ruffles down center front. Size 12

  142. fabricjunkie416 | | #142

Love the jacket of view B.

  143. BeverlyT | | #143

Super hard to choose one view. I think I would start with view C but I find view A quite interesting. I would need the 4-12. Love the style of these jackets.

I can see the skirt on my teenage granddaughter. So perfect! Size 4-12 please.

I love the classic but updated lines of style C, size 12-20. It's perfect for work as a suit jacket but can be fun with jeans.

  146. user-3343488 | | #146

Love, love, love jacket A with the skirt. Reminds me to the Beatles! It would look great in black for work, then I could change to darker washed jeans for dinner afterwards. Size 4-12 thank you.

That is such a cute pattern! I am just learning how to construct a sloper to my size, and this looks like a great project to make as a final item.

  148. CathiMc | | #148

I'm really liking the jacket in view A but I know my daughter would insist on the skirt in view D. Good thinwe could bothe use the 12-20 size pattern!

The reddish jack (view C, I think). I just love jackets! Pattern Size 12-20 would work for me. Thanks!

  150. user-734807 | | #150

I like the flattering lines on the jacket and the sins on my hips the skirt and jacket will conceal. The little nip in at the waist is slimming while the vertical lines lead to focus on the face rather than the tummy and hips. Very cute and versatile and suitable for any age group.

  151. user-2481695 | | #151

I love jacket view B it is so feminine. Size 14-20

  152. user-2562294 | | #152

I would make jacket style C size P5(12-20). This jacket shows classic style, simple elegance and it would go great with a variety of accessories: jeans, dress pants and skirts. It's a fully functional jacket.

  153. herb19355 | | #153

I love jackets and skirts..... being 4'11' I find that these options give me the best fit and options. I would love to win this pattern in a size 14.....

  154. depotbay | | #154

I like the red Jacket(c). It is more my style and I really enjoy the SewStylish magazine. Size 14 to 20 would be great. Thank you nstinson2

Would love to try the collarless jacket. I wear some type of jacket almost every day and can never have enough!

  157. MicheleHen | | #157

I like the three, distinctively different jacket fronts. I'm not fond of the skirt length, but that could be easily changed by either lengthening it or adding one or two tiers for a longer skirt that flows.

The jacket with the long shaped shawl collar looks like a winner!

All of the jackets are very stylish but I prefer C. It has a very classic, tuxedo look to it and with the long plunging collar line, it would be very flattering. Easy to dress up or down. Size 14-20.

My favorite would be the collarless jacket (view A) because as I age my neck seems to be getting shorter and collars are not flattering. I need the 12-20 size pattern as I wear a size 20.

  163. 2much2so | | #163

Love it! Thank you for the giveaway opportunities on your site.

View C, so straightforward and classic.

View B reeks out loud of, "more sewing talent than taste".

View A is sharp, but the staying power is questionable.

  166. simplypat | | #166

I like the jackets but I love the skirt. Gathers only at mid-front and mid-back is more complimentary than a straight or fully gathered skirt.

    Size 4-12

I like this skirt and jacket I can see it with a pair of boots. In a size 12-14...

  170. Sewadell | | #170

I like #1 as the buttons down the front help give a slimmer look. Would enjoy constructing this garment.
    I an a size 12. Thanks.

I like the jacket view C. The long collar will lengthen the shortness of my upper body and make me look slimmer. My size would be right now a 12-20. I'm loosing weight and an adjustment below a 12 would be easy wince I have a large bust.
    Thanks!

  172. pbmcass | | #172

Love the back of this jacket, I would smock a piece of material and use it for the belt at the back for a more personal look.

  173. lucyjack | | #173

I like jacket C. I would need the 12-20 size pattern. I think I would wear this jacket a lot and my 4 daughters and my 3 granddaughters would, who all sew also)would also make use of the pattern.
