Aside from being the most-watched PBS drama in history, Downton Abbey has received a great deal of attention for its Emmy Award-winning costumes. The show tells the story of a wealthy family and their servants, living on an English estate in the years leading up to and after World War I. As the show approaches its fifth season, the breathtaking designs are still in the spotlight—only now they’re available for public viewing. We’ll take a look at some of the show’s extraordinary costumes, recently on display at the Winterthur Museum in Wilmington, Delaware.
