It’s Sew Easy TV series 900 begins airing on public television stations around the country on Thursday, June 25, 2015. In the new season, It’s Sew Easy’s sewing experts lead viewers in a historical fashion journey through the 1900s with projects that show how fashion, fit, necklines, hemlines and accessories changed through times of war and economic ups and downs. Series anchor Angela Wolf is joined by Terry McFeely, Londa Rohlfing, Joanne Banko, Kathy McMakin, Rebecca Kemp Brent, Heather Valentine, Courtney McCrone, Marie Zinno, Peggy Sagers, Cindy Hogan, Paulette Bell, and others.
Each week, the show’s instructors show how to combine time-honored sewing and embellishment techniques with modern sewing technology and the latest tools to create trend-worthy fashions and accessories. The series starts at the turn of the last century–1900–and progresses through another decade each week, ending at the new millennium. Learn how to make everything from a circa 1900 lantern purse, 1920s-inspired cutwork and embroidery, and Great Depression-era neckline styles to World War II-era embellishments, disco fabulous jumpsuits, 1980s-inspired appliques, and outerwear for the modern pampered pooch.
