The winner of the 2015 SewStylish Spring Fashion Challenge is Butterick 6019: Version A by Joliecheval!
Calling it “a dress of many firsts and advanced techniques,” Joliecheval broadened her sewing skills when she customized a pattern to create a bold-print cotton sundress. She extended the dress’s full-skirt hem by 2 inches and stitched horsehair braid to it; sewed an underwire, built-in bra and boning to the interfaced and lined bodice; added shirring to the dress; and finished the seams with an overcast stitch.
Joliecheval will receive a $100 gift card to Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores®. Congratulations to Jolie, and thank you to all the participants. Be sure to check out all the great entries in the contest gallery.
