Skill Level:

Rated as average. Our tester enjoyed the details and found the pattern and instructions accurate. Size

Range and Fitting:

Misses 6 to 24 for hips 32-1/2 inches to 48 inches, with cropped and ankle-length options.

Fabrics:

Chino, cotton blends, lightweight denim, linen blends, and twill. Satin, lightweight synthetic suede or leather, and geometric and floral prints could also work. Consider creative design details like a lace print for the yoke or contrast fabric for the view C pocket.

Style and Sewing Details:

With three views, this pattern is packed with design options. Though they appear structured, several elements give the pants a relaxed vibe. All views have a three-piece waistband with a gently curved front and a back elastic casing, belt loops, V-shaped yokes at front and back, vertical seams at the center-front leg, fly-front zipper, a front dart at knee level and a back V-seam from the yoke to the inseam at the knee.

  • Three pocket styles include a pocket in the side panel edged with a band, an elongated front patch pocket with a curved opening, and a simple patch pocket at thigh level and on the pants back.
  • The pants can be calf-length or to the ankle, with two darts at the bottom back hemline for shaping
  • This pattern has topstitching on most seams and features — try variegated thread for an extra design detail.
